Adopt-A-School

Community Partners. Stronger Schools.

Support a local school your way—all year long.

Great schools thrive when a community stands behind them. The Adopt-A-School program connects local businesses, organizations, faith communities, and civic groups with Champaign-Urbana public schools to provide year-round encouragement and support. Whether through volunteering, boosting teacher morale, organizing collections, or sharing expertise, every partnership helps strengthen our schools, empower our educators, and build a more connected community.

Wisdom Network

Every career, hobby, life experience, and personal journey has the power to inspire a student.

The Wisdom Network connects community members with classrooms to share their knowledge, experiences, and passions. Whether you’re a professional, tradesperson, artist, entrepreneur, retiree, veteran, or volunteer, your story can help students imagine what’s possible.

Call to Action

Share your story. Inspire a student. Strengthen our community.

How it works

Become part of the Wisdom Network today. Fill out this quick form to share information and to be added to the list. Specify the preferred grade level(s), group size, availability and topics. Headshots welcome!

Once a speaker’s name is entered into the network, it will automatically be populated into a shared Google sheet that teachers will be able to access. They may then email the speaker to schedule a time to discuss and set up a visit.

Please remember to take photos and share with Jeremy at jthorpe@cuschoolsfoundation.org.
