CUSF Music Fest FAQ: Everything You Need to Know!
With any first-time event, there are bound to be plenty of questions! We want to clarify all the details to ensure that YOU have an amazing time at the first-ever CUSF Music Fest!
Q: What’s the deal with tickets?
A: Tickets are available at the following prices:
- $40 – Community Members
- $10 – Unit 4 & USD 116 School Teachers, Staff, & Families (thanks to our amazing sponsors!)
- $5 – Students (18 & under)
- FREE – Children under 5
We encourage pre-ordering your tickets online to help us with planning for this exciting new event! Once you purchase, your name will be on a list at the door – no physical ticket needed.
Q: What’s the deal with food?
A: Meal tickets are only available for pre-purchase and are priced at:
- $10 (full meal option)
- $5 (lighter meal option)
$1 snacks will also be available for cash purchase on the day of the event from 2:30 – 6:00pm!
All food is provided by Dish Passionate Cuisine, and drinks will be available from The City Center’s cash bar.
Q: Are the bands any good? What’s the order of events?
A: They are SO GOOD! Every band includes at least one member who is a student, teacher, or staff member from our local public schools—some even include parents!
Expect a mix of genres, from mariachi to punk rock to hip-hop to rock ‘n’ roll—and everything in between!

Q: Is there anything else besides live music?
A: YES! In addition to incredible music, there will be:
- Community tables hosted by Parkland, the University of Illinois, and local student service organizations from Central, Centennial and Urbana High School
- Kid-friendly activities
- Guest presenters & interviews between sets, sharing insights on CUSF and musical careers
- A 50/50 raffle
Q: What’s the overall vibe of the event?
A: Hosted by The City Center, this event is a come-and-go affair—stop in to catch your favorite bands, discover new music, and enjoy time with friends (or meet new ones!).
Most importantly, it’s a celebration of music and the incredible talent in our schools and community! Come out to support your teachers, colleagues, students, and classmates!
