If you’re here because you scanned a QR code on the back of an MTD bus… welcome.
You just followed a tiny square of curiosity into the heart of something big: supporting the teachers, students, and schools of Champaign and Urbana. Around here, that single tap tells us something wonderfully simple… that you care about our community’s future.
If you’d like to turn that spark into action, here are three easy ways to jump in:
1. Become an On-Call Teacher Ally
Think of this as joining a caring group of people who want to help teachers in real time. Once or twice a month, we send a short note about a practical need…classroom supplies, snacks for a late rehearsal, volunteer for a class project, etc. and you choose if you want to help that round. Simple, direct, and deeply appreciated.

2. Adopt-A-School
Whether you’re a business, church, civic group, or a bunch of neighbors with a group chat, you can “adopt” a school, grade level, or teacher. First and foremost this means cheering on teachers and letting them know they aren’t doing this alone. It’s community partnership at its most grounded and joyful. Email info@cuschoolsfoundation.org to find out more.
3. Donate to the CU Schools Foundation
Every gift, whether large, small, monthly, one-time, helps fund classroom grants, teacher innovation, scholarships, and experiences that make learning come alive. Your generosity fuels possibilities. <CLICK HERE TO DONATE>
If you made it here because you spotted a QR code on a moving bus, thank you for following the thread. If you choose to get involved, you’ll be helping build something lasting for our students and the people who teach and love them.
Champaign-Urbana MTD strengthens our community in countless everyday ways, and we’re grateful to celebrate them as Principal Circle Advertising Sponsors whose partnership helps keep local students and teachers moving forward.
