The end of fiscal year 2025 is drawing near and the CU Schools Foundation is here to assist with your year-end charitable giving. To ensure your contributions qualify for a charitable income tax deduction in the 2025 tax year and to provide you with the best possible support, please be aware of these important dates:
- Wednesday, December 10: Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) should be initiated to ensure the gift is distributed and received by the deadline.
- Noon on Friday, December 12: Grant recommendations from Donor Advised Funds to be granted in 2025 to ensure time for due diligence and processing.
- Tuesday, December 30: Online gifts should be submitted to allow for processing time on your credit card.
- Noon on Wednesday, December 31: Checks sent via private mail service (FedEx, UPS) must be received.
- Wednesday, December 31: IRA QCDs must clear the donor’s custodial account.
- Wednesday, December 31: Checks sent via the U.S. Postal Service must be postmarked on or before this date.
***PLEASE NOTE*** The CUSF office will be closed December 24 to January 5. However, if you would like to drop off a check in person between December 28 and December 31, email mgonzales@cuschoolsfoundation.
