Meet our board: Trevor Taylor
Trevor Taylor is impressed with the quality of resources available in the Champaign-Urbana community. “The people that live here and work in and among our schools are a great resource for our schools.” He cites University of Illinois, Parkland College, and the local business community, which donates manpower and money to our schools, among our community assets. “All of these things work together to make our schools great and we need to continue to maximize their potential to provide the best education for our youth.
As a Centennial grad who attended Booker T Washington Elementary and Columbia/Franklin Middle Schools, Trevor speaks with authority. “I’ve lived here most of my life and have seen the community grow over the years. It’s exciting to live in a place with our diversity and the resources we have available.”
Trevor looks forward to his new role as a CU Schools Foundation Board Member. “With my son getting ready for fourth grade and my daughter starting kindergarten next year, I have a personal interest in the schools and support system here. I will do my part to provide our students and teachers with what they need.”
Trevor Taylor is Assistant Vice President Commercial Real Estate Services Coordinator at Busey. He recently received his MBA from Eastern Illinois University and assists with the high school group at Meadowbrook Community Church every Sunday morning. He enjoys spending time with his family (his wife and two children also appear in this photo) and volunteering through Busey. Trevor has served on the Champaign Urbana Schools Foundation gala committee for the last two years.
