Message from the Executive Director

We are a strong foundation with a promising future.

For 30 years, CU Schools Foundation has empowered students in Champaign and Urbana public schools. With help from the community, we have invested more than $1.7 million in our students through grants, scholarships and special projects.

Investors are willing to shoulder risk when they believe in a company’s future success. We apply the same principle to students and teachers in our local public schools. We regard them as worthwhile investments because we understand their long-term growth potential.

With your support in the 2017-2018 school year, CUSF will:

  • Expand our collaborative grant program,
  • Build strong connections between schools and the community,
  • Support $72,000 in classroom grants,
  • Award $16,000 in scholarships; and
  • Provide 125 homeless students with clothing and a safe place to stay.

Together, we’ve built a strong foundation. Join us as we deliver a promising future. Help us elevate the excellence in Champaign and Urbana public schools by investing in educators and students.

Molly Delaney, Executive Director

“Students are like little businesses and companies that will one day have the opportunity to share with the world their gifts and ideas. Every student potentially has something to offer. Whether it is to serve others, one’s country, or the world, it is still something. Every big thing once started out small, and even businesses require a little push to get them going.”
