The ATTACH student art exhibit opens December 7th at Krannert Art Museum.
In its third year, the ATTACH project brings art students from Centennial, Central and Urbana High School together to share ideas and plan a cross-district student art exhibit. In October, 80 students converged on Krannert Art Museum to explore the collections, discuss their favorite pieces and gather inspiration for future artwork.
After spending a day together at the museum, students returned to their classroom studios and, over the course of several weeks, created a work of art inspired by a piece from the museum. The culminating event is the ATTACH show opening reception, which will be held this Thursday, December 7, from 4-6 pm at LINK Galler at Krannert Art Museum. The public is invited.
Before the show, students organized and cataloged pieces. They spent an afternoon carefully arranging and installing their art work. You can find additional photos HERE. ATTACH is a CU Schools Foundation Collaborative Grant and is funded by donors Maggie and Ralph Volk.
